Welcome to the Boone Foundation web site.
Our goal is to support our Braves to help them achieve success in the classroom and in their future endeavors and our fundraising efforts for 2011 paid off with a $15,000.00 check presented to Boone’s Principal, Dr. Margaret McMillen (Class of 66) at a faculty luncheon on Dec.14th. 2011 by Holly Theus Storrs, President (Class of 70), Mike Murray, Scholarship Chair (Class of 63)and Rosemary Davies (Class of 72). Monies raised from two Golf Tournaments, our first Orange & White Night and Fall Mixer have all contributed to providing the initial funds needed to purchase new teaching tools: Ladibugs, Smartboards and Tablets for Boone.
“We thank the Boone Foundation Members, Alumni, Business Community and Parents of current students who have donated their time to raise funds in order to meet the increasing digital state requirements for schools. Studies show that these tools have helped to engage the students more effectively in the classroom and to raise their overall scores as well - We are teaching the digital generation!”
At Boone High School, we are proud of the accomplishments that continue to bring honor to our “reservation.” Many traditions live on, and we hope that developing life-long friendships here is a tradition that our students will be able to enjoy as so many of us do.
